The terminal building has a convenient reception hall, a 24-hour snack bar, a newsagent and vending machines.

Disabled passengers will find adapted toilets in the terminal building, as well as an elevator providing easy access to the departure concourse. There is wheelchair access throughout and assistance from trained staff is available upon request. Priority with boarding is given to disabled drivers and passengers.

Stena Lines operates eight daily sailings between Stranraer and Northern Ireland's capital, Belfast. Journey time is approximately 1 hour, 45 minutes on-board the fast ferry, the Stena Voyager while the route on board the conventional ferry, the Stena Caledonia, lasts 3 hours, 15 minutes.

Both vessels transport passengers as well as freight. Each of the ships operating the Stranraer-Belfast route provides excellent eating and drinking facilities.

Other public conveniences include a smokers' lounge, currency exchange service, ATM machines, shops, children's play area and more. Stena Line is one of the largest ferry companies in the world, operating fast ferry services to The Netherlands, Great Britain and Ireland.
